Hello,
Thanks for trusting Healthcaremagic!
I have gone through your query and I can understand your concerns.
There are many treatment options are available for hemorrhoids depending upon the severity of the illness.
You can try the following treatment options in a step wise manner:-
(1)-Dietary changes:-
Include more fiber rich food in your diet. This will help to reduce
constipation and symptomatic relief from pain and discomfort. avoid straining to pass stools, as it may make your hemorrhoids worse
(2)-Medication:-
Over the counter
ointments can be tried to reduce pain. "dilitiazem" containing creams are more effective. You can also try suppositories. Laxative like
lactulose can be tried to avoid constipation. NSAID and other pain are not very effective to control pain.
(3)-Surgery:-
If dietary changes and medication don't improve your symptoms you might require surgical intervention.
Consult a general surgeon and he will explain various treatment options depending on the severity of the illness. For minor lesion as in your case, minor procedures like banding or
sclerotherapy is more than enough.
If you have a large mass, then surgical excision may be needed.
Surgery is more effective and permanent cure is possible.
Hope this help
Regards.
